Pakistan Flood Relief Registry

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this site exist?

The Pakistan Flood Relief Registry is an effort to create a unified repository for the large number of organizations that are involved in relief efforts related to the massive floods in Pakistan.

Other than the major national and international organizations, there have also emerged a number of smaller grass-roots efforts. These smaller organizations and initiatives are carrying out significant work on the ground, but are limited in their capacity to reach out and attract donations. Facebook has been useful in getting the word out across friends' networks but so far there has been no single place to list all such efforts that are out there.

Why do I need to log on to Facebook to use this site?
In addition to being a registry, the main goal of this site is to establish a chain of trust to the various organizations listed, For that purpose, we show you which of your friends recommend or have donated to a particular organization. We need to interact with Facebook (using Facebook Connect) to provide that information.
How can I help this effort?
The most significant ways to help are:
(1) Tell us about organizations that aren't listed.
(2) Tell us whether you recommend an organization or have donated to it. This way your friends will be able to better determine whether they would like to donate to particular organization.
(3) Tell us if any existing information is inaccurate. (You can contact us from our Facebook page).
How can I provide feedback?
Feedback is very welcome - on any aspect of our site or application. Please let us know if you find any bugs or any new features you'd like to see. Please go to our Facebook page and click on "Contact Developer" on the bottom left of the page.
