Pakistan Flood Relief Registry
The Pakistan Flood Relief Registry is an effort to create a unified repository for the large number of organizations that are involved in relief efforts related to the massive floods in Pakistan.
Other than the major national and international organizations, there have also emerged a number of smaller grass-roots efforts. These smaller organizations and initiatives are carrying out significant work on the ground, but are limited in their capacity to reach out and attract donations. Facebook has been useful in getting the word out across friends' networks but so far there has been no single place to list all such efforts that are out there.
The chain of trust is critical for donors to pick an organization or effort they would like to contribute to. This site uses Facebook to track how many of your friends recommend or have donated to a particular organization. We hope that will address some of the issues of trust.
