272
Substituted for the word Parliament by the Revival of the Constitution of 1973 Order, 1985: P.O.No.14 of 1985) Art 2 and Sch item 1 (with effect from March 2, 1985).
273

273A
Definition of "consultation" omitted by the Constitution (Eighteenth Amendment) Act, 2010 (Article 92)), with effect from April 19th, 2010. It was originally inserted by the Legal Framework Order, 2002 (Chief Executive's Order No. 24), Art 3(1), sched. item 24, and read as follows:
["consultation" shall, save in respect of appointments of Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts, mean discussion and deliberation which shall not be binding on the President.]

Ed. Note: The Constitution (Eighteenth Amendment) Act, 2010, Article 92, presumes that definition of "consultation" was in the Constitution, that is the changes made by the Legal Framework Order, 2002 (Chief Executive's Order No. 24) were incorporated into the Constitution. This appears inconsistent with the presumptions elsewhere in the Constitution (Eighteenth Amendment) Act, 2010.
