CONSTITUTION (FOURTH AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1981
PRESIDENT’S ORDER 13 OF 1981

The following Order made by the President is hereby published for general
information:-
In pursuance of the Proclamation of the fifth day of July 1977, read
with the Laws (Continuance in Force) Order, 1977(C.M.L.A. Order No. 1 of
1977), and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President
is pleased to make the following Order:-

Short title and commencement.-
- (1)
- This Order may be called the Constitution (Fourth Amendment) Order, 1981.
- (2)
- It shall come into force at once. *[and shall be deemed to have taken effect on the first day of July, 1981].
- 2.

Amendment of Fifth Schedule to the Constitution.
In the Constitution, in the Fifth Schedule,--
- (a)
- In the Part relating to the Supreme Court, in the first paragraph, for the figure "5,500" the figure "6,500" and for the figure "5,100" the figure "6,000" shall be substituted; and
- (b)
- In the Part relating to the High Court, in the first paragraph, for the figure "5,000" the figure "5,800" and for the figure "4,000" the figure "5,000" shall be substituted
